My transition into the natural world of cosmetics has been a slow one. Make-up has always been an iffy subject for me, especially since I moved to Europe about 10 years ago. Finding the perfect foundation colour is a nightmare in itself... Finding an organic foundation colour alternative in my shade is exhausting! That pretty much outlines my limitations, and boy have almost completely thrown in the towel. But that's another topic for a different day. Finding the perfect mascara has proved to be less strenuous! Hallelujah!
Benecos is an affordable Spanish line of organic make-up and skincare. It is one of the ideal brands to start off with when choosing a more natural route. I had previously bought the Benecos Natural Mascara, however, it left a stinging sensation in my eyes all day. A few months went by and I decided to give their mascara a go again. This time around I opted for the Natural Mascara Vegan Volume... and I have not been disappointed: The bristles are poofy and thick, the mascara glides on leaving the lashes beautifully full and lush. The only downside is that the mascara tends to get a bit dry after a few weeks, and starts to crumble. However, a few drops of organic jojoba oil and a good shake made that situation vanish into thin air.
My verdict: Love!
An affordable alternative to conventional mascaras
Vegan
Cruelty free
Dense bristles
Great coverage for dramatic lashes
It's definitely worth a try :)
